Project Info :

The Ricard Fortuny community health centre has built an extension and taken advantage of the modernisation of the centre to improve control over access to the different buildings and floors, as well as control over the patients with mental illnesses living at the centre.

First, we activated Accez-Cardper access control proximity cards for all the healthcare staff authorised to enter the restricted areas, and then we installed control of wanderers using active RFID technology which sends a warning to staff when a patient with mental illness tries to access the unauthorised zones.

The placement of RFID bracelets on individuals with mental illness allows them to move about the centre freely and access the open areas like gardens, thus improving their quality of life without endangering their safety.
