RADIOCOMMUNICATIONS FOR TAV TUNNEL AT VENAUS
The company CMC di Ravenna decided the use of digital two-way radios, selecting communications specialist Bioaccez Controls & Mercury Barcelona to deploy Motorola’s MOTOTRBO solution in the 7 km exploration tunnel of Venaus in Italy. The new solution comprises mobile and portable digital also and Ethernet repeaters connected to the site Optical Fiber. The technology delivers both high-quality voice and allows the offices to connect with TBM operators and locomotive drivers in a very efficient way. CMC’s management has already realized the benefits of the new digital network and has subsequently upped the capacity with plans for further expansion in the near future.
