The SotraLink Consortium—comprising FCC, SK, and Webuild has commenced construction of the suspension bridge connecting Øygarden and Bergen. The bridge will be 30 metres wide and 900 metres long, with towers reaching 114 metres in height.
The overall project also includes 12.5 kilometres of tunnels, 19 road and underpasses, 23 tunnel portals, 22 bridges and viaducts, and 14 kilometres of paths.
Bioaccez Controls is supplying 2 A Tech srl with access-control technology to manage entry and exit across all project sites. The scope includes the supply of HID proximity readers for gates and turnstiles, as well as the integration of existing access systems across the sites and tunnels into TRANSEO-PLUS Web, a centralized software platform. The solution also incorporates AI-enabled cameras designed to detect and support vehicle access at key entry points.
